This time the Tango Fundamentals team was working on the music - its history, structure and interpretation. We discovered that rhythm and melody are two distinct but complementary elements and learned how to interpret the percussive, as well as the melodic components of tango.
Next and last meeting, on Dynamics and their Interplay, takes place on the 6th of January.

We met again after the summer break to work on the pivot technique and examine its functional and aesthetic role.
Next time, on November 11, we will be working on our musicality. See you all again or join us, if you haven't had the chance before!

This time we were working on the possibilities offered us by the embrace - the role of hands, elbows and shoulders, head position, as well as the interplay of open and closed embrace.
We were also examining what it means to lead and to follow and whether these roles are interchangeable - why and how.
Our group of intrepid Tango Fundamentals explorers is growing with each class! We hope to see you next time - on Sunday, October 21st! This time we will be working on the pivot.

The second meeting of the Tango Fundamentals team took place on May, 13th. We were happy to see old faces and welcome new ones!
This time we were working on dissociation: head-torso, torso-hip, torso-embrace, legs-hips, feet-legs... Also, dissociation between partners and dissociation of tasks, as well as movement in space.
Next meeting, which is going to take place on June 24th, will be devoted to embrace and roles. Old friends - see you again, new ones - you are welcome to join us anytime!

First meeting of the Tango Fundamentals Project working group is over! Thank you for these hours of hard work, concentration and great joy! We were very happy to welcome guests not only from Lodz, but also Krakow. Other cities - join in!
This time we were focusing on balance: how the skeleton, muscles and organs interact, how to find balance in a couple, how balance is a way of leading and a means of aesthetic expression.
